We were at Techpoint Build 2018 and Whogohost was well represented. The inaugural edition of Techpoint Build held on January 27, 2018. Check out what went down  at Techpoint Build 2018.

We were very impressed by the large turnout experienced at this year’s Techpoint Build. The event gathered over 5,000 Nigerians at Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island. The event was graced by a lineup of amazing speakers, panelists session themed “Keeping a business afloat” among other activities. The speakers who inspired an eager audience of knowledge-hungry entrepreneurs, developers, investors and more, include Adewale Yusuf – Co-founder and CEO Techpoint.ng, Jason Njoku – Founder -Irokotv, Chika Nwobi – Founder and CEO -L5Lab, Nick Dixon – Founder – Cloud Cover, Modupe Durosinmi – Developer comuunity Manager – Flutterwave among other notable speakers.

Big brands like Whogohost, Union Bank, Google, Nokia, Facebook, Aella Credit, Paystack, Flutterwave, iROKOtv, among others exhibited at Techpoint Build. Whogohost stormed the event fully represented by our staff.

We gave out 25% discount on shared hosting and 50% off on website design to everyone who visited our booth at Techpoint Build.

Worthy Of Note

The event featured a pitch storm competition where nine startups pitched their business ideas for the cash prize of a million Naira. Nine startups were selected from over 200 applicants. Startups that were selected include – Placements, myPadi, Gerocare among other startups. Each startup tried to win the heart of judges and investors at the Techpoint Build pitch storm. Placements emerged as the winner of the Startup Pitch and took home the cash prize of N1,000,000.
