Each new month ushers in a fresh set of employees who have done exceptionally well in their job roles. We celebrate them for going the extra mile to make sure the company achieves her goals. This month, we celebrate Toluwani Fadamitan, Miriam David and Folashade Ajibade.
Toluwani is a Customer Support Representative in the Customer Support Function, Folashade is a Billing Support Officer under the Operations Function while Miriam David is a Digital Marketing Executive in the Growth Function.
These three “Wonder Women” gave us a few minutes of their time and shared tidbits of what makes them so wonderful in the interview below. Enjoy the read!
Meet November’s Employees Of The Month
Hello guys, congratulations on being the employees of the month. Please tell us about yourselves.
Tolu: My name is Toluwani. I’m a graduate of Osun State University, studied Microbiology, lol. I’m from Ondo state and I love to try new stuff.
Folashade: My name is Folashade Ajibade. I graduated from the University of Ibadan, with a degree in Communication and Language Arts. My favorite things to do are dancing, singing and being a cartoon character. I love laughing and staying around people who make that happen.
Miriam: My name is Miriam David, from the Niger Delta region, Isoko to be precise. I am a Philosopher queen from the greatest University of all time, the University of Benin. I love good music, good food, great wine, and excellent company be it in form of a book, a person/people or a movie.
Tolu, this is your first time winning the employee of the month, how does it feel?
Tolu: Hmm, feels good. Truth is I was not expecting it.
Folashade and Miriam, it’s another one! Congratulations AGAIN. How does it feel especially since both of you are November borns and you are both winning employee of the month for your birth month?
Folashade: I felt my own eyes bulge cause I wasn’t expecting it again this year. I love how I have been recognized by my bosses. As regards my birth month being November, I can’t help but say how Lucky I am. I hope the month brings more great luck like this one.
Miriam: It felt great. I was quite surprised but happy at the same time. 2-time employee of the month no be beans.
What do you love about your job?
Tolu: The fact that I get to solve clients issues. It gives me joy.
Folashade: I learn every day. Make mistakes and learn from them, sometimes by myself. I also love the people in my department. They have and still do contribute to making the experience worthwhile.
Miriam: It is challenging and diverse. There is always something new to learn and try.
Work can get really stressful. How do you cope on such days?
Tolu: lol, I try to manage such days well, besides at some point I get to laugh off the stress with the help of my colleagues.
Folashade: I look forward to the close of work hours. Also, it never goes wrong with a little music to get through those hours. Gists!!! Doing amebo too can be fun. lol.
Miriam: Music is my go-to. It calms me when I feel overwhelmed and clears my mind.
How do you de-stress after a long day/week at work?
Tolu: Trust me, I sleep all through.
Folashade: Hehehehehe. I will go and buy pizza and Hollandia yogurt when there is money. See movies too. This is importanter.
Miriam: I either have a stimulating conversation with my friends or see a movie.
What is your favorite thing about working at Whogohost?
Tolu: The love amongst staff.
Folashade: Leniency and the “play-play” amongst staff
Miriam: Brilliant yet fun loving people. I work with very brilliant minds. It is never a dull moment with them.
If you were given a credit card worth N1million naira with the instruction to spend it all in a day, how would you spend it?
Tolu: Invest all in different bag sizes to resell. Lol
Folashade: I will rent a restaurant space and buy every tool needed by a cook for a big restaurant.
Miriam: Hmmm… I’d pay my tithe which is 10%, save 20%, give 10% to an Orphanage, give 10% to the welfare unit in church, give my family 10%, and invest the remaining 40%.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity, local or foreign who would it be?
Tolu: Alakija Folorunsho
Folashade: Celine Dion
Miriam: That would be Chimamanda Adichie
Describe your year with a movie title and tell us why you chose that movie title.
Tolu: God is not Dead (2). This year has proven that in every area of my life.
Folashade: Cannot think of any at the moment but I must say that my life this year has different movie titles. One title cannot cut it. hehehehehe.
Miriam: Hmm….. That would be “A question of faith”. I chose this movie title because I have been through so much this year that at various points, I questioned my faith but God has given me the grace and strength to pull through and has shown up for me when I least expected Him to.
As young, beautiful and single ladies, which of the following is more important to you when considering a man as an eligible partner? Wealth, intelligence, Humor or spirituality?
Tolu: Spirituality.
Folashade: I must say all of them. But I would fall for intelligence first.
Miriam: For me, it is all of them o! He doesn’t have to be too wealthy though but he should be able to comfortably provide for us (me, him and our children) and still be able to save. However, I don’t mind if he is a very wealthy person either.

Miriam: I’ll Marry Paddy (he is so cute), Slap Jim Iyke and kiss Wizkid all day, every day.
If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are living right now?
Tolu: hmm…, nothing really.
Folashade: I would spend more time with those I love. I would also meet more people.
Miriam: I would communicate more with my friends and go out more often. Most people do not believe it but I am a bit of a loner. I love my own company and find it very difficult to make the effort to really get know people beyond the surface. So, If I had only one year to live, I would invest in that.

It has been really interesting interviewing you guys but before you go, what advice do you have for new entrants?
Tolu: Love your job and do your best.
Folashade: Keep learning by asking questions again and again.
Miriam: I’d say be you, be innovative and stand out.
